C5TAKO™ is ready to use. This page helps you check the device, turn it on and off, and charge it safely.

  • 3.7V, 250 mAh battery with a PH2.0 connector
Bring these separately when charging or updating firmware:
  • A data-capable USB cable
  • A microSD card for additional storage — not included

Battery

The device includes a 3.7V, 250 mAh battery with a PH2.0 connector. If you need longer runtime, you may replace it with a higher-capacity 3.7V battery that has compatible dimensions and a PH2.0 connector.
Turn the device off and verify the battery and device connector +/- polarity before connecting it. Wire order can differ even when both connectors are PH2.0. Do not reverse the polarity, modify the wires, or connect multiple batteries together; doing so can damage the battery or device and may generate heat.

Identify the device parts

Before using the device, locate these parts:
  • 1.54-inch display
  • Five-way control
  • Side power switch
  • USB port for charging and firmware updates
  • microSD slot

Turn on

Follow these steps until the main menu appears.

Inspect the device

Check that the case, display, controls, and ports are not cracked, bent, or loose.

Slide the power switch on

Use the side switch and wait briefly for the boot screen.

Wait for the main menu

The device is ready when the main menu appears.

Turn off and charge

  1. Save any work in progress.
  2. Move the side switch to off.
  3. Wait for the display to turn off.
  4. To charge, connect the USB cable after turning the device off.
C5TAKO™ connected by USB
The device can charge while powered off, even when the display is not lit.
The device is not waterproof. Do not charge or turn it on if the device, port, or cable is wet. If it contacts water, stop using it immediately and contact the seller.
