# Unboxing

> What is included, the device parts, and how to turn C5TAKO™ on and off.

C5TAKO™ is ready to use. This page helps you check the device, turn it on and off, and charge it safely.

## In the box

* C5TAKO™ device with case
* Product box

Bring these separately when charging or updating firmware:

* A data-capable USB cable
* A microSD card for additional storage — **not included**

## Identify the device parts

Before using the device, locate these parts:

* 1.54-inch display
* Five-way control
* Side power switch
* USB port for charging and firmware updates
* microSD slot

## Turn on

Follow these steps until the main menu appears.

    Check that the case, display, controls, and ports are not cracked, bent, or loose.

    Use the side switch and wait briefly for the boot screen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for the main menu">
    The device is ready when the main menu appears.

## Turn off and charge

1. Save any work in progress.
2. Move the side switch to off.
3. Wait for the display to turn off.
4. To charge, connect the USB cable after turning the device off.

  The device can charge while powered off, even when the display is not lit.

<Warning>
  The device is not waterproof. Do not charge or turn it on if the device, port, or cable is wet. If it contacts water, stop using it immediately and contact the seller.
